David and his wife Mary Jane, an RN at Florida Hospital, along with their four children, have been DeLand residents since 1992. During that period David has been involved in various management opportunities, including an imprinted sportswear company and an underground utilities company.

More recently, David has been involved in residential construction, initially as a project supervisor for a residential general contractor, and then in actually building, and selling, his own “spec” home.
